Shalik is the name of a bird.
Shalik or Shalik is a small to medium sized arboreal bird. The name Sturnidae is derived from the Latin Sturnus, which means hawk.
The bird named Myna is also known as the Asian Shalik. There are many types of Shalik birds in our country. For example: Maina Shalik, white-black cow-shalik, Bhat Shalik, Khairi Shalik, Jhut Shalik, Wood-shalik etc. Beyond this there are Gangshalik, Baman-shalik. Their lips and feet are dark orange-yellow and bright yellow and their eyeballs are light yellow.
As the vocal system of the Shalik is quite complex, their call varies in different tones.
Myna, popularly known as Vaat Shalik and Bara Shalik, makes a lot of noise during the leisure hours of the day. They shriek, whistle, squeal, and shriek reddit...reddit...reddit... over and over again. They often flap their feathers and shake their heads up and down.
They are quite adept at imitating human speech. Able to recognize a specific person by listening to human voice.
The warbler also has a reputation as a songbird, but the wood-warbler sings best. Almost all species of shrikes can call in different tones and imitate the voices of other shrikes.
Shalik usually lay eggs and give birth in English month of April and Bengali month of Baisakh.
The life span of Shalik is 5 to 7 years in some cases it lives even nine years.
The Shalik has a reputation as a social bird. They call and fight in groups.
