Shafiqur Rahman said, "On August 5, the dictator who has been holding the neck of the nation for 15 and a half years has come to an end. This day is called the Second Independence Day. Thank the youth for this. We got this second freedom at the cost of thousands of lives. We have discussed about the role of the 12-party alliance, including the Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, and the scholarly society in the work of nation-building. Our discussion will continue. We believe that the unity of the people will be strong and we will face any conspiracy and conspiracy together with the students.
